(crime) Armed robbers arrested for wearing officers' uniforms

Security operatives in Lagos have arrested four members of a robbery gang who were said to have formed the habit of dressing in police uniforms during their operations.

Julius George, Samuel Orgah, Lucky Oliseh and Lucky Friday were apprehended by police along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

George, described as the leader of the gang, is said to have deceived the other men into thinking that he was actually a policeman.

He procured the uniforms for his followers and led them to steal a trailer load of rice and a tanker of engine oil amongst other things.

The men are currently undergoing investigation for making away with property running into millions of naira
